Fibromyalgia symptoms and sleep disorders – latest findings

A team looked at the relationship between sleep quality and fibromyalgia symptoms in 326 patients. They found that over 92% of the participants had a sleep disorder. Furthermore:

  • 88% had generalised pain;
  • 79% had memory failure;
  • 59% had moodiness;
  • 78% had excessive anxiety;
  • 69% have concentration difficulties.

Those with more fibromyalgia symptoms had worse sleep quality.

“Sleep quality has an important association with fibromyalgia symptoms,” the experts conclude.
