Exercise reduces lower back pain in older people – review
Strengthening exercises for older people with lower back pain reduce symptoms and improve function, says a study published in Scientifica.
A team looked at recent research carried out in the area and reviewed a total of four studies. Analysis of the data led to their conclusion that: “strengthening exercise is a beneficial treatment for older people with lower back pain in reducing pain intensity, disability, and improved functional performances”.
