Caalm Camp offers luxury yurt glamping holidays in deepest Dorset and has made great strides in ensuring people with disabilities can enjoy their visit.
The campsite benefits from level, well-lit paths leading to yurts and facilities. Ramps enable wheelchair-users to gain easy access around the site. The traditional doorway width measurements of the yurts accommodates standard-sized wheelchairs.
The interior of the yurts comprises a carpeted floor, double bed and two single day beds. All beds can accommodate a hoist and there is enough space for a profiling bed where needed. Commode chairs are available for private wet rooms, which comprise adapted shower heads and extra-long hoses.

The Loch Ness Shores, Scottish Highlands
Loch Ness Shores campsite nestles on the southern shore of Loch Ness, offering breath-taking panoramic views of the loch and the mountains beyond. Easy access to the shore around Loch Ness set against the backdrop of woodlands, makes for an ideal spot from where to enjoy the area’s spectacular flora and fauna.
Although there is no designated accessible parking, there is assisted pitching (finishes at 8pm so make sure you arrive before then).
The site is across two levels. If you have any difficulty walking, request a pitch on the lower level as they have particularly easy access to the Facility Block. Steps and a ramp make for easy access to the Facility Block where visitors find showers without steps, a wall-mounted seat in three showers, turning room for wheelchairs and two accessible cubicles.
The outdoor activities (bushcraft, heritage walks, boating and fishing) on offer at Loch Ness Shores combined with plenty of space indoors to eat, drink and play, make it a wonderful destination for all the family.

Shell Island, North Wales
Boasting stunning views of the unspoilt Welsh countryside – including Cardigan Bay and the Snowdonia National Park – Shell Island is the biggest campsite in the UK.
