Bellagio accessibility, accessible casino, mobility casino, accessible travel, arthritis digestThe Bellagio, Las Vegas, US

One of the most famous casinos in the world, the Bellagio is exceptionally opulent and elegant.

Wheelchairs are available from reception. The expansive casino floor is generally wheelchair accessible, but a few areas are reported to be a little cramped. However, a total of 85 hotel rooms are well designed for people with mobility issues and offer roll-in shower access, shower chair, lavatory rails, closet shelving and lowered amenities. Two additional rooms have adjustable beds and electronic lifts that allow guests to move from a wheelchair to the bed, toilet, or shower bench without assistance.

A convenient and free wheelchair accessible tram runs from Bellagio to the city centre every 15 minutes, 20 hours a day. If that doesn’t entice you to check if you’re luck is in, we don’t know what will!

Victoria Gate Casino, Leeds

The third largest casino in the UK, Victoria Gate Casino never closes.

With more than 175 slots and electronic roulette games and 22 live betting tables, games include roulette, three card poker, black jack, punto blanco and big six. If that isn’t enough, enjoy watching sports on the biggest screens in Leeds, weekend DJs and live acoustic sessions at the Curve Ultra Lounge.

The casino sits at second floor level over retail arcades below – where disabled car parking and lift access is found. Arranged on three levels, the casino has lifts and escalators enabling people to enjoy all areas. A disabled toilet is available. And friendly staff ensure that everybody has a great time.

A lift entrance works well for anyone keen to avoid the steps. Once inside, the main floor of the casino has wide hallways, level access and is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilet facilities. Outdoor areas feature ramped pavements.

Nearby, the Hotel de Paris offers sensational views of the casino and the Mediterranean, and has a number of wheelchair-accessible rooms with especially adapted bathrooms.

If old-school is what you’re after, look no further than Casino Baden-Baden, which is located within The Kurhaus (spa resort and conference complex). Steeped in 250 years’ worth of history and designed in line with French royal palaces, the casino’s red and gold interior oozes glamour and opulence.

Kurhaus Baden-Baden is arranged so that guests with mobility issues can access the individual parts of the building. Separate user-friendly parking spaces are available. A covered walkway leads from the underground car park directly into the Kurhaus, with a ramp for barrier-free access. Lifts connect the basement, ground floor and first floor, and disabled toilets are on the ground and first floors. Outside, from the spa garden a ramp leads to the main entrance with access to the ground floor.

Some say Kurhaus is the most beautiful casino in the world. Thanks to its great accessibility, check it out for yourself.
